The best Chinese meal

We do love a Chinese meal every so often and there is plenty of choice in the area there are two wok buffets and several other restaurants with Menus. We prefer the Nan King Garden in Benimar, opposite the Dutch butchers, they have air conditioning but we prefer to sit outside and watch the world go by, we nearly always go for the Menu del Dia the price ranging from €4.50 to €7:50 per person, This includes Sangria, prawn crackers, starter, main course(good choice), Coffee or Icecream, included is Half bottle of red or white wine and Shnapps while you are paying the bill.

The Royal Thai closed

The Royal Thai Gardens restaurant, which has been closed since Christmas time, has now got a banner on the wall which says Due to unforeseen circumstances they will be closed untill 1st April, i cant imagine its for renovations as they did a lot of work before they opened in May 2008.

Henry´s is closed

The popular English bar and restaurant Henry's is now closed, while we were away last week they ceased operating and all the furniture has been removed. Henry's opened at the beginning of this year.

Da Vettriano

When listening to our favourite local radio station, Sunshine FM, there is normally a couple of competitions to send answers on the phone or by email, we normally have a go at the answers and much to our surprise we had a phone call the other day to say we had won a prize of a meal for 2 at Da Vettriano, an Italian Restaurant at Torre de la Horadada, last night we went for the meal which was absolutely excellent, with great hospitality, so we had a superb evening. They have good variety on the menu with fish, meat, chicken, pasta and pizza dishes all prepared to order, a great wine list, and home made deserts including Taramisu. I would recommend the Da Vettriano Restaurant to anybody.
